Ingredients
1 ½ lb chop meat
½ box spaghetti
1 med. onion
½ tsp salt (for pasta)
½ tsp salt (for chopped meat)
2 cloves garlic (chopped)
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp cumin
Olive oil
Directions
- Chop onion and add to frying pan with 1 Tbs olive oil, let cook for several minutes on med heat until onion becomes translucent
- Add chopped meat to onions and stir let meat turn brown
- Chop garlic and add to meat and onions (this keeps the garlic from burning) and stir
- While meat and onions are cooking, let pot of water boil then add pasta, cook for 12 minutes
- stirring occasionally. After 12 minutes add ½ tsp salt to pasta and stir
- Drain pasta and stir to avoid pasta sticking together
- Add ¼ tsp cinnamon and ¼ tsp cumin to meat, stir
- Add ½ tsp salt to meat, stir
- Add 1 Tbs tomato paste to meat, stir let simmer on low for a few minutes
- If desired, add ½ cup tomato sauce to meat and let cook for 3-5 minutes so flavors can come together.
- Place pasta on a plate, add chopped meat and enjoy
- If desired you can add parmigiano cheese onto dish
